Thank God for the pastors of the Houston Area Pastor Council

"Thank God" for the pastors of the Houston Area Pastor Council, who are speaking out on immigration reform, and those that are following their example across America!

Most pastors have spoken out on marriage and abortion, but like our elected officials, many have remained silent regarding the immigration debate.

Remember

Fellow Americans,

The Washington Post: "The GOP's harsh immigration stance will cost it"

As a Co-founder of Texans for Sensible Immigration Policy, and a supporter of Republican Party principles, I have been doing everything I can to convince Republicans that we must attract Latino families to vote Republican. There is a great article in Friday's Washington Post courtesy of Deacon Joe Rubio entitled, "The GOP's harsh immigration stance will cost it." If you have moment please read it.

Joe Legal vs. Jose Illegal

Norman E. Adams, Co Founder of Texans for Sensible Immigration Policy, responds to Joe Legal vs. Jose Illegal setting the record straight with facts, not fiction!

There are two families: "Joe Legal" and "Jose Illegal." Both families have two parents, two children, and live in California.

Joe Legal works in construction, has a Social Security Number, and makes $25.00 per hour with taxes deducted. Actually, a lot of Illegals do the same. They use a fake SS number.

Arizona Irresponsible? I don’t think so!

If you lived in Phoenix, and you had a phone call informing you your 7 year old child had just been abducted from a school playground, you might have been first in line demanding Governor Jan Brewer sign SB 1070 into law.  Phoenix, Arizona has earned the title “Kidnap Capital of America.”  Is it any wonder their Governor signed this new law?

President Obama Reaches out to GOP on Immigration Reform

I joined Scott Braddock on his Newsradio show 1080 KRLD in Dallas/Fort Worth today to talk about the latest efforts in Washington to pass immigration reform.

Update on Immigration Platform Resolution

TxSIP supporters deserve an update on efforts to get our immigration plank included in the Texas Republican Platform.

If you have been receiving my “altar calls,” you know that TxSIP just raised $25,000 for Conservative Republicans of Texas because they agreed to include our Immigration Resolution in their list of suggested resolutions. The brain behind that organization is my long time friend Steve Hotze MD. Steve has a statewide list of more than 700,000 Republican primary voters. Dr. Hotze has personally been promoting our TxSIP position on Sensible Immigration Policy.

A Plea to the GOP

This is a plea to the GOP, and every independent voter that wants to save America!

WHO AM I?

My name is Norman E. Adams, I have been a small business owner (an insurance agent) for 45 years. I have been active in the Republican Party for 40 years. In the last 25 years, due to the abortion issue, I have not missed a precinct caucus. I have been a delegate to every Republican Senatorial Convention and every State Republican Convention. I have been a delegate or an alternate to five National Conventions. I am proud to have been elected to the Texas Republican Party Platform Committee four times, and I hope to serve again!

E-Verify Federal Contracts: Another Reason to Reform Immigration

Well here it is folks! Another reason we must have sensible immigration reform NOW!

If you are contemplating doing any work with any division of the Federal Government, you'd better be ready to E-verify!

The FAR final rule will apply to solicitations issued and contracts awarded after September 8, 2009.

At that time, the contractor (including construction GC) will agree, as a condition of the contract, to:

(i) use E-Verify for all persons hired during the contract term by the contractor to perform duties within the US (all new hires)
